Job title: Senior Counsellor
Salary: £37,107 – £41,271 FTE per annum (Actual salary for 22.5 hours: £22,264 – £24,763 per annum)

The role: We currently have an opportunity for a Senior Counsellor to join the Family Support Service at St Richard's Hospice. The successful applicant will lead a team providing structured support to adults with an illness that cannot be cured, their carers and loved ones, as well as adults and children who have experienced the loss of a close friend or family member.
The team offers a wide range of support including Counselling, a Bereavement Service (including Bereavement Support South Worcestershire - BSSW), Social Work, Citizens Advice, and group support.
The successful applicant will be responsible for the line management of the Counselling team and carry an active caseload, taking responsibility for the management and organization of their client group.

About you: The successful applicant will have a recognized degree or diploma in Counseling/Psychotherapy. You are expected to be a member of BACP or another appropriate professional body and maintain your professional competence.
You should have experience in providing line management to Counsellors, working in loss and grief, and dealing with trauma in bereavement and palliative care.
Due to the nature of some role requirements, a current UK driving license and access to a vehicle are essential.
