Key Responsibilities:
Content Strategy: Ensure all copy is part of a cohesive content plan, aligning with broader marketing strategies.
Creative Copywriting: Write clear, persuasive, and original copy across a variety of media, including digital ads, social media posts, website copy, email campaigns, in-store signage, product descriptions, and print collateral.
Brand Voice Development: Collaborate with clients and internal teams to develop and maintain strong, consistent brand voices across all content. Ensure copy aligns with the brands tone, personality, and target audience.
Campaign Conceptualising: Contribute to creative brainstorming sessions, helping to generate fresh, compelling ideas for campaigns and promotions that resonate with consumers.
Digital & Social Media Content: Collaborate with junior writers to create engaging copy for digital platforms, including social media posts, paid ads, blog posts, and email newsletters, to drive engagement, traffic, and conversions.
Proofreading & Editing: Review and edit copy produced by junior writers, ensuring it meets quality standards, is on-brand, and is error-free.
Client Collaboration: Work closely with clients to understand their business goals, challenges, and target audience. Use this insight to craft tailored copy that aligns with their objectives.
SEO Optimization: Collaborate with junior writers to write copy with SEO in mind, ensuring its optimized for search engines and supports our clients digital marketing goals.
Creative Leadership: Mentor and guide junior copywriters, providing constructive feedback and helping to elevate the quality of the teams work.
Campaign Reporting: Analyze the effectiveness of copy across various campaigns and platforms, using insights to refine and improve future copywriting efforts.
Required Skills & Experience:
Proven Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in copywriting, preferably with a focus on retail or consumer brands. A strong portfolio showcasing your ability to write across a variety of formats is essential.
Brand Storytelling: Ability to create compelling narratives that connect with target audiences, with an understanding of how to adapt tone and messaging for different channels and platforms.
Cross-Channel Writing: Experience writing across various media, including digital (social media, blogs, websites), print (brochures, catalogues), email marketing, and in-store materials.
SEO Knowledge: Familiarity with SEO best practices, keyword research, and optimizing copy for search engines.
Creative Conceptualising: A strong conceptual thinker who can generate fresh ideas, collaborate in brainstorming sessions, and contribute to the development of integrated campaigns.
Collaboration Skills: Strong ability to work as part of a team, collaborating with designers, strategists, and account managers to create cohesive campaigns.
Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to ensure consistency, clarity, and quality across all copy and messaging.
Excellent Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and influence stakeholders.
