Job Description Are you a seasoned professional with a proven track record in managing multiple construction projects?
Our client, a growing construction company is seeking a Senior Contracts Manager to lead and oversee projects from inception to completion, ensuring quality, compliance, and successful delivery.
Key Responsibilities As a Senior Contracts Manager, you will: Project Leadership : Oversee and coordinate multiple construction projects simultaneously.
Manage all aspects of the projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
Risk Management : Identify and mitigate risks, including contractual disputes, sequencing, and resource/material challenges.
Propose alternative solutions to protect the company and streamline operations.
Contractual Expertise : Utilize in-depth contractual knowledge to guide project decisions.
Use CCS to draft, monitor, and report on project stages effectively.
Problem Solving : Troubleshoot programme, resource, and material issues that could impact project success.
Networking & Relationship Management : Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders.
Act as a professional, polite, and positive representative of the company.
Quality Control : Establish and oversee quality control systems to ensure compliance with project standards.
Team Collaboration : Work closely with the Company QS on subcontractor, labour, and supplier matters.
Manage and mentor Junior Contracts Managers, Site Managers, and Site Foremen.
Health & Safety Compliance : Stay informed about construction industry health and safety requirements.
Manage and oversee the Company HSE Manager to ensure a safe working environment.
Meeting Participation : Attend and contribute to company meetings, including contracts, P&L, management, and project site meetings.
Requirements Qualifications & Skills Experience : Minimum of 5-8 years in a senior contracts management role within the construction industry.
Education : Technicon Construction Diploma (minimum).
Technicon Construction Degree (advantageous).
Technical Expertise : Proficient in CCS and Excel.
Deep understanding of the construction industry, building sequences, and detailing.
Competencies : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Exceptional interpersonal and networking abilities.
