Purpose and Description of the Job:Management of a number of active construction projects.Full responsibility for all production & labour matters, financial aspects, occupational health and safety and technical problem solving.Responsible for client relations as well as all correspondence and attendance of site meetings.Manage leadership personnelCoordinate resources for projects with the central resource pool of the organisationContractual management of projects under control and Interaction with the commercial department of commercial and contractual mattersSubordinate positions:Contracts ManagersSite Managers / Site AgentsQuantity SurveyorsConstruction Foremen and SurveyorsMinimum Level of Education and Training:Eng Civil EngineeringTech Civil EngineeringTech or Higher National Diploma - Construction ManagementSc Construction Management RequirementsProfessional Registration with either ECSA or SACPCMP in an appropriate category.A postgraduate or additional management qualification such as CMP attendance would be beneficialOther requirements (Licence etc.):Vehicle LicenceKnowledge of site costing and financial management systems.Knowledge of relevant software such as MS Office suite, CCS and Scheduling softwareAble to travel to sites and spend time on site per the requirements of each project.
