Senior Consultant: Operational Excellence (Logistics)

Durban, KZN Permanent Market Related Our client in the Logistics Industry is seeking a Senior Consultant: Operational Excellence to join their team in KZN.Purpose of the role: The Senior Consultant: OE is responsible for enabling and facilitating the adoption of the operational excellence culture within the KZN Operations through change management, training and couching of the business units and/or contracts on continuous improvement tools.Please send an updated CV, Portfolio and most recent payslip to ******:Develop and implement a Lean deployment plan which will provide the required return on investment through waste elimination, costs reduction and improved operational efficiencies Manage the implementation of Operational Excellence program in all KZN operations Ensure alignment between Operational Excellence initiatives with the BU/accounts strategies Develop business units' internal problem solving capacity through training and coaching of problem solving methodologies, Kaizens and Kaizens eventsEnsure that Lean foundational practices and entrenched in all areas of responsibilities Actively participate in the development of Lean Practitioners within own area of responsibility Act as a Change Agent, facilitate the adoption of the operational excellence culture, identify and remove barriers to success. Assess the progress on the OE program and provide feedback to the leadership of the area of responsibility. Assist colleagues in the area of responsibility with measuring, tracking and reporting of the financial benefits from improvement projects.Investigate and identify opportunities for improvement As an OE Champion, expand the use of operational excellence methodologies and structured problem solving approach in the businessRequirements:The minimum levels of work, experience and qualifications required for this role are:Bachelor Degree in Industrial Engineering or Supply Chain Management2 years experience in operations preferably in a Supply Chain environment 3 years experience in implementing OE programsLean Six Sigma certification Change management skillsProject management skillsBasic business acumenSkills:Highly developed communication skills relating to persuading and influencing othersAppreciation for challenging others with respectStrong inclination for change agilityFocus on getting things donePreference for planning and organizing#J-18808-Ljbffr
