Senior Consolidation Accountant

Our client, a global fintech in Johannesburg, has an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Group Consolidation Accountant to join their dynamic and fast-paced team.
Role Overview This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a multi-currency environment and has a passion for consolidations and systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for group level financial reporting and consolidation, working closely with the External Group Reporting Manager and other department heads to ensure key objectives are met.
The Group Consolidation Accountant role consists of the following: Prepare monthly group consolidations and management accountsProvide audit management support to the External Reporting ManagerEnsure integrity and consistency of data underlying reportingDrive efficiency/automation of reporting and timeliness/availability of reportsDirect management of accounting staffUphold the values of the CompanyQualifications and Experience: CA(SA) with minimum 5 years post qualification experienceExtensive IFRS accounting experienceExperience working in emerging markets and in multi-currency environmentsProficiency in Xero, Netsuite, and Datarails is highly desirableSkill Set and Desired Competencies: Demonstrated leadership skills in a fast-moving and complex environmentSuperior communication skills in English, both written and oralDetail-oriented and able to take initiativeAnalytical, research-driven and can solve problems head-onReady to take the next step in your career?
