As threats become more frequent and sophisticated, we must work to keep our customers safe through our Security Solutions. The Solution Specialist Unit team within the Microsoft Security organization is at the forefront of this effort, engaging directly with customers to contribute to their success.As a Compliance Technical Specialist (TS), you will work with a team of sales, technical, partner, and consulting resources to educate and demonstrate the value of our data security solutions to our customers. Your main goal will be to win the technical decision of customers to purchase Microsoft data security solutions. This role is flexible in that you can work up to 50% from home.ResponsibilitiesYou will be the primary technical point of contact for potential customers during the sales process, driving technical wins for security opportunities and engaging with other teams within and outside the organization.You will leverage your deep technical understanding of Data Security architectures, solutions, and technologies including Microsoft Information Protection, Data Loss Prevention, Insider Risk Management, and Defender for Cloud Apps (CASB).You will coordinate weekly with sellers and managers to understand opportunities and engagements to focus on, driving to win the technical decisions.You will remediate blockers, lead technical wins for Microsoft Security and adjacent technologies, and build credibility with customers as a trusted advisor.You will develop strategies to improve the client's data security posture and tailor Microsoft messaging for security opportunities.You will lead technical presentations, demonstrations, workshops, and architecture design sessions to help solve customer security challenges.You will oversee proof of concepts, present architecture patterns, and drive cross-workload support for Microsoft solutions for data security.QualificationsRequired Qualifications7+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experienceor Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 4+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experienceor Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 3+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experiencePreferred Qualifications (PQs)6+ years technical pre-sales, technical consulting, or technology delivery experience.4+ years experience with cloud and hybrid infrastructures, architecture designs, migrations, and technology management.Certification in relevant technologies or disciplines (e.g., Office 365, Power BI, Azure Architect, and Development exams).5+ years of technical pre-sales, technical consulting, or related experience in Cloud Computing.Experience and passion for learning and implementing best practices.Certification in Microsoft 365 Security Administration or Azure Security.Industry certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, IAAP, etc. are preferred.Experience with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems.Knowledge of Cloud security technologies and concepts such as Zero Trust.Microsoft is an equal opportunity employer.
