Senior Commercial Trader (Edible Oil Manufacturing Industry)

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Trader to join our team in the edible oil manufacturing industry. In this key role, you will manage the buying, selling, and trading of edible oil products, execute trading strategies, secure supply contracts, and optimize profitability. If you have strong expertise in commodity trading, market analysis, and a deep understanding of the edible oil sector, this role is perfect for you.
Key Responsibilities:

Trading and Contract Execution: Buy and sell edible oil products based on market trends and strategies. Negotiate supply contracts, monitor contract performance, and resolve disputes.
Market Research and Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research to identify trends, price fluctuations, and supply-demand changes in the edible oil industry.
Risk Management: Develop and implement strategies to manage price volatility, supply risks, and currency fluctuations. Utilize tools like futures contracts and options.
Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, coordinate with production and logistics teams, and ensure timely delivery while minimizing costs.
Relationship Management: Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, customers, brokers, and trading partners. Negotiate favorable terms and collaborate with internal teams to meet business goals.
Compliance and Documentation: Ensure adherence to regulations and maintain accurate documentation of trading activities and contracts.
Reporting and Analysis: Track trading performance, generate reports on volumes, pricing, and profitability, and identify areas for improvement.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business administration, or related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in commodity trading are advantageous.
Proven experience in commodity trading, preferably in edible oils or agricultural commodities.
Strong analytical skills and understanding of market data and trends.
Knowledge of risk management and financial instruments used in trading.
Experience with trading platforms and market analysis tools.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and decision-making skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced trading environment.
Proficient in spreadsheets and financial software for analysis and reporting.
Understanding of industry regulations and trade compliance.
