Role Overview: Clinical Solutions Executive (CSE) The Clinical Solutions Executive (CSE) will be instrumental in supporting Cepheid Africa in achieving its commercial objectives.
The CSE will help customers fully grasp and leverage the clinical benefits of Cepheid's technology and products, working closely with the sales teams of distributors and Cepheid's business units.
The role involves developing pre- and post-sales strategies to promote newly launched products and drive utilization of Cepheid assays among both new and existing customers.
Key Responsibilities: Execute company strategies effectively to achieve commercial goals.
Provide ongoing education and training for clinicians, infection control teams, nurses, pharmacists, and other clinical staff on the clinical impact of Cepheid products.
Build and maintain a strong network with clinicians, Heads of Departments (ICU, Infection Control, Infectious Diseases, ED, OB/GYN, Oncology), and develop advocates from key opinion leaders within healthcare institutions.
Manage and update the Cepheid customer database, supporting current relationships while expanding future opportunities.
Generate and nurture business opportunities with both new and existing customers, creating qualified business leads.
Support product launches in the field and at trade shows/conferences.
Coordinate leads and develop clinical case studies with key opinion leaders (KOLs).
Assist Laboratory Departments in adopting Cepheid technology and ensure its smooth implementation.
Conduct demonstrations, evaluations, and troubleshooting of Cepheid technology and products in clinical settings.
Educate and train channel partners' field teams on Sales and Marketing tools to effectively promote Cepheid products.
Stay up to date with the latest clinical data generated by Cepheid and present it to healthcare professionals during congresses, exhibitions, and meetings.
Maintain knowledge of international and regional healthcare guidelines (WHO, GLI, CDC, NHS) and adapt Cepheid strategies accordingly to capitalize on opportunities or address potential challenges.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of experience in Medical fields (e.g., Clinical Pharmacist, Clinical Laboratory Sciences, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Infectious Diseases).
Master's degree with 0-2 years of related work experience.
5+ years of experience in the South African healthcare market.
Strong expertise in Microbiology, Molecular Biology, and Infectious Diseases (Hematology/Oncology knowledge is a plus).
Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, selling, and negotiation skills.
Clinical and laboratory experience is advantageous.
