The successful candidate will be required to fulfil the job as summarised below, but not limited to:
Assist the discipline Manager in various design and administrative duties. Design / manage design by others, of the civil and structural works in accordance with the requirements of the client. As Lead Engineer oversee and coordinate the execution of civil and structural engineering on projects. Compile man hour estimates in accordance with the Clients enquiry. During the course of the contract assist with monitoring the contract schedule and budget and make recommendations for appropriate action as and when required. Do the Civil and Structural engineering portion of Conceptual and Basic Engineering packages as per the Clients' enquiry. The ideal candidate must be in possession of a Bachelor of Science (Civil Engineering) and be a Registered Professional Engineer with Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA).
7 -15 years' experience in the industrial engineering environment and Petro-Chemical plants with the emphasis on reinforced concrete and structural steel engineering is essential.
