Senior Buyer (Technical Manufacturing)

Senior BuyerA leading manufacturing concern is urgently looking for a Senior Buyer to join their team.
The successful candidate will have strong technical knowledge with a proven track record of purchasing within a manufacturing environment.Duties & ResponsibilitiesManage the buying process for a given set of goods in line with specified cost, quality and delivery targets.Apply sourcing policy, interface between supplier and entity with respect to specifications and budgets.Collect, organize and synthesize data to support others in their functional area.Analyse data and reports using statistical techniques.Develop and maintain a strong foundation of function skills and knowledge of relevant purchasing and sourcing concepts.Contact suppliers to resolve price, quality, delivery or invoice issues.Ensure continuous supply of required goods and materials and communicate any supply problems.Desired Experience & QualificationRelevant tertiary qualification.CIPS qualification will be an added advantage.Min 5 years purchasing experience.Contract management and supplier development experience.Working knowledge of an ERP system.Package & RemunerationR450 000 CTC - R600 000 CTC (Depending on experience)
