This pivotal role requires expertise in procurement, supplier management, and regulatory compliance.Qualifications and Experience Required:Education: Matric with 3-5 years' experience in a similar role.Supplier Management: Skilled in building strong relationships with local and international suppliers.Procurement Expertise: Proven track record in aligning purchasing decisions with demand and inventory levels.Regulatory Knowledge: Familiar with international trade and procurement regulations.Communication: Strong ability to liaise with suppliers and internal teams for seamless procurement processes.Customs Compliance: Experience in managing customs clearance for international shipments.Analytical Skills: Ability to evaluate market trends, supplier performance, and cost-saving opportunities.Problem-Solving: Aptitude for resolving procurement issues, including customs delays and quality concerns.Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel; familiarity with Syspro is a plus.Attention to detail, adaptability, and dedication to teamwork.Key Responsibilities:Generate and finalize POs based on inventory needs.Maintain accurate records, manage changes, and communicate updates to stakeholders.Coordinate logistics and verify goods upon receipt.Organize cost-effective and timely freight solutions.Oversee customs clearance and ensure compliance with regulations.Maintain safety stock levels and manage inventory transfers.Build and nurture supplier relationships; ensure timely follow-ups.Negotiate favorable pricing and manage updates in procurement systems.Contact Hire Resolve for your next career-changing move.
