Minimum requirements for the role:A tertiary qualification is preferred but not essential.Previous experience having worked in a senior key accounts management or related role within the meat or food, or packaging equipment industry is essential for the role.
Previous experience having negotiated and dealt with customers at a very senior level.Previous experience having called on food and or meat processing or packaging and or related manufacturers is preferred.Proven experience in sales and key account management, preferably within the meat processing or food or packaging equipment industry.Knowledge of meat or food processing or packaging equipment, or related products are preferred.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at various levels.Ability to work independently, set priorities, and meet sales targets.The successful candidate will be responsible for:Managing and maintaining all senior client portfolios and business projects on a national basis.Developing and maintaining strong relationships with key clients in the meat and food processing as well as packaging sector.Identifying client needs and recommending equipment solutions tailored to optimize their production and packaging operations.Conducting regular account reviews, providing product demonstrations, technical support, and training to clients.Collaborating with internal teams to ensure seamless project execution, delivery, and customer satisfaction.Analysing market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify growth opportunities.Preparing sales forecasts, managing budgets, and contributing to overall business strategy and planning.Representing the company at industry trade shows, conferences, and networking events.Compiling and presenting business and sales strategies and results that are aligned to the board.Managing and overseeing all new contracts and pricing structures for the company.
Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
