Job Overview:
1. Lead Generation & Sales:
Annual revenue goals: R40 million (new business)
Lead generation: Generate leads through various channels like networking, cold calling, attending industry events and following up on marketing qualified leads (MQLs).
Client relationship building: Build strong relationships with potential and existing clients by understanding their needs and proposing solutions that address them.
Sales pipeline management: Manage the sales pipeline by nurturing leads, qualifying them, and moving them through the sales cycle.
Proposal development: Involve in crafting proposals and presentations that showcase the company's value proposition to potential clients.
Develop and implement a sales strategy to achieve or exceed pre-defined sales targets for ICT services in the defined region.
2. Strategy & Planning:
Develop growth plans: Create and implement strategies to achieve business development goals, focused on revenue growth and market expansion.
Market research: Research to understand target markets, competitor activity, and emerging trends in the industry.
Identify opportunities: Actively seek out new business opportunities, which could involve new markets, customer segments, partnerships, or service offerings.
3. Partnering & Collaboration:
Develop partnerships: Identify and develop strategic partnerships with other businesses to expand reach, access new markets, or offer complementary solutions. Establish partnerships with hyper scalers like Azure, AWS, and Google in defined geography.
Internal collaboration: Collaborate with various internal departments like marketing, sales, presales/business analysis, technical delivery teams, and finance teams to ensure a cohesive approach to business development. Collaborate with cross-country teams (India & USA).
4. What to sell & Whom to sell:
What to sell: Primary focus will be to sell Data Analytics, AI, Product Engineering, Cloud Services, Managed Services, Technology Consulting, Digital Transformation projects.
Whom to sell: Small to Medium businesses and large enterprises to whom Rysun's above technology services need to be sold. Also, industries like Retail and Hitech will be an area of focus.
5. Reporting & Analysis:
Track and report on performance: Track key metrics related to their activities, such as the number of leads generated, conversion rates, and revenue generated from new clients. Weekly, monthly, and quarterly review meetings will be conducted.
Analyze data and trends: Analyze data and market trends to identify areas for improvement and inform future business development strategies.
6. Additional Responsibilities:
Stay up to date: Continuously update knowledge about industry trends, competitor offerings, and the company's products or services. Give presentations and pitches as required.
Travel: Will be required in South Africa and internationally (as per business needs).
7. Add-on Experience:
Experience of working with Indian Software Services Company will be a bonus.
Comfortable working with hybrid teams (India and USA).
Must be self-motivated and a self-starter.
