Senior Business DeveloperWe are currently seeking a Senior Business Developer, to be based in Sandton, Gauteng. The Senior Business Developer will be reporting in directly to the Managing Director. The successful incumbent would be tasked with leading the identification, evaluation, development, commercial proposals, and negotiations of renewable projects as well as ensuring that renewable projects reach financial close.Responsibilities:Identifying and managing private PPA projects opportunities within the renewable sector.Managing negotiations and doing bid preparation.Identifying and pursuing tender opportunities within the renewable sector.Doing the due diligence of projects for acquisition.Engaging with potential off takers for private PPA opportunities.Preparing and presenting all project documentation required to secure a project development budget.Managing the overall project development from origination to financial close.Analysing the project risk allocation.Negotiating and finalizing documents such as PPA's, EPC and O&M arrangements, and Shareholders' agreements.Requirements:Degree in Engineering, Finance or Economics.MBA would be advantageous.5 - 7 years' experience working in the renewable energy sector.More than 4 years' experience doing business development.Experience bringing projects to financial close.Knowledge of agreements such as Power Purchase Agreements, partnership agreements, off take agreements, and shareholder agreements.
