Senior Business Developer - Renewable EnergyWe are supporting our client in the Renewable Energy sector who is currently seeking a Senior Business Developer to be based in Johannesburg, Gauteng. This role will report to the Regional Head of Business Development, and the roles responsibilities will include:Possessing a detailed understanding of legislation pertaining to energy investments on the market and monitoring developments.Having a strong understanding of the competitive environment and perform analyses enabling the development of the organisation's business strategy.Developing a partner acquisition strategy.Identify, analyse, negotiate for, and secure business opportunities meeting the organisation's investment guidelines. These will include developments, acquisitions, participation in competitive processes (private and public), and commercial origination on a bilateral basis with large energy off-takers, in each case subject to budget and time constraints.Prepare all documentation, and attend meetings necessary for investment approval, whether internal or external.Contribute to various planning and budgeting processes.Maintain and develop company culture, values, and reputation in the market and with all staff, customers, suppliers, partners, and regulatory/official bodies.You will need:A deep knowledge of renewable energy business, energy business, markets (incl. regulation), and related technologies.Investment valuation principles.Corporate finance.Strong understanding of the renewable energy environment.Knowledge of PPA.Experience in Business Development, investment analysis, or commercial positions.International experience will be advantageous.Fluent in English (oral and written).There will be frequent travel within this position to various countries.
