Let's change the game together.We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst in Johannesburg (Hybrid), to act as a liaison among stakeholders, facilitating communication and alignment between business units and IT. The ideal candidate will analyse problems, opportunities, needs, structure, policies, and operations to recommend solutions that help the organization achieve its goals. This role involves working on large, high-risk, and complex projects, requiring deep practical experience and proficiency in business analysis.ResponsibilitiesStakeholder Collaboration:Manage conflict and reach agreements on task and project requirements.Facilitate requirements workshops, maintain group focus, and lead discussions towards stated goals.Build, sustain, and leverage relationships within and outside the immediate area of responsibility to gather, validate, and approve requirements.Manage client and stakeholder expectations effectively.Requirements Analysis and Management:Define business objectives, processes, and requirements.Elicit and analyze the actual needs of stakeholders using techniques such as brainstorming and prototyping.Plan and monitor business analysis activities, communication approaches, requirements management, and performance analysis.Conduct and document requirements elicitation, ensuring work is completed as planned.Solution Recommendations:Identify opportunities to improve or enhance processes, and support the implementation of new processes, policies, and systems.Analyse and document the enterprise to prepare business cases, justifying the investment for business initiatives.Assess and validate solutions and requirements, ensuring they align with business objectives.Project Delivery:Deliver project results cost-effectively, on time, and within risk parameters.Ensure improved results by overcoming work obstacles and managing problems effectively.Contribute to a culture of transformation by participating in culture-building initiatives, business strategy, and CSI.Knowledge Management and Continuous Improvement:Stay abreast of developments in the field of expertise, ensuring personal and professional growth.Share knowledge and industry trends with the team to ensure continuous improvement.Actively promote and contribute to the organization's Business Analysis (BA) Centre of Excellence in defining BA practices.Obtain buy-in for developing new and/or enhanced processes to improve stakeholders' business functioning.Leadership and Team Success:Lead by example in understanding and embracing the business's vision and values.Ensure team success by fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.Relevant qualification in Business Analysis from one of the IIBA Endorsed Education Providers contributing towards future certification.Essential skills3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Proficiency in business analysis methodologies and tools.Experience with project management software and methodologies.Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Desired skillsCertification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA).Experience with data analysis and reporting tools.Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and compliance requirements.BenefitsWe are guided by shared values in all things we do: Courage, Excellence, Collaboration, Respect and Accountability.Courage - We are bold thinkers and doers, always ready to take on new challenges.
