Read on!Aon South Africa is recruiting a Senior Broker in our Specialty department, based on a hybrid basis from our Head Office in Sandton.The role of the Senior Broker is to build and improve day to day client/ colleague relationships, manage portfolios of client accounts (where applicable) and provide technical expertise to service clients/ colleagues.What the day will look likeActs as the primary point of contact within the broking team for specific clients in order to provide specialist advice to the clients and colleagues (country-wide)Provides advice to clients and colleagues on placement design, available coverage and capacity, pricing, potential coverage enhancements and market progress within scope of responsibilityNegotiates terms and conditions of placementWorks in partnership with clients (where applicable) and colleagues to ensure clients' needs and expectations are metSkills and experience that will lead to successQualifications:A minimum of Grade 12 or equivalentA Bachelor's degree is preferableMust be registered as a representative with the FSCA in terms of the FAIS ActMust be registered as an associate with the IISAKnowledge:Excellent knowledge of policy wordingsComprehensive knowledge of the South African and international short-term insurance markets.Strategic knowledge of industry and business strategies and company goals.Computer literacy with advanced knowledge in MS Word and Excel.Skills and Attributes:Ability to communicate optimallyGood interpersonal and organizational skillsAbility to work effectively in and with teams.Experience:Proven experience in a C&E broking environmentHave extensive experience in InsuranceHow we support our colleaguesIn addition to our comprehensive benefits package, we encourage a diverse workforce.
