Senior BookkeeperJoin our team as a dedicated Senior Bookkeeper and contribute to the success of our valued clients.Job Description:As a Senior Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for:Financial Management: Manage, prepare, and report monthly financials, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.Financial Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and general ledger entries.Invoice and Payment Processing: Process and record invoices, payments, and receipts in a timely manner.Authorization and Reconciliation: Authorize daily POPs and payment requests, and perform regular reconciliations of accounts.Expense Management: Process invoices, track expenses, and manage accounts payable.Financial Organization: Organize and maintain financial records, including BBBEE, ensuring they are up-to-date and accessible.Asset Management: Process monthly depreciation of fixed assets and maintain the fixed assets register.Filing Systems: Implement and maintain filing systems, both digital and physical.Financial Analysis: Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, and document business transactions.Special Projects: Assist with special projects as needed.Accounting Procedures: Establish, maintain, and coordinate the implementation of accounting and control procedures within the accounting department.Payroll Reconciliation: Prepare payroll reconciliations.Departmental Budgeting: Prepare monthly departmental expense budgets vs actual.Administrative Tasks: Handle administrative tasks such as filing, correspondence, and document management.Requirements:To be successful in this role, you will need:Accounting Qualifications: Completed Bcom in Accounting and related field.Experience: 5+ years experience in a similar role in finance.
