Senior Bookkeeper

Job Title: Senior Bookkeeper
Department: Finance
Location: Head Office
Job Purpose: Maintaining complete and accurate general and subsidiary ledgers accounting records, preparing of TB and management accounts, preparing reconciliations and month end files, payment of suppliers, file tax returns.
Qualifications:

Accounting or Finance Diploma or equivalent
Valid Driver's Licence

Experience Required: At least three years' experience dealing with the following:

Strong understanding of accounting theories
Proficiency in usage of email and Microsoft Office applications
Processing monthly or ad-hoc journal entries
Processing and payment of supplier invoices
Ability to analyse revenue
Preparation of Trial Balance, monthly management accounts and branch reports
Explanation of variances between budgets and actuals
Preparation and review of monthly reconciliations
Experience in resolving suppliers' and customers' financial queries
Experience in using Sage Evolution
On the job coaching or mentoring of staff
Experience in Financial Services will be advantageous

Specific Job Requirements:
This job requires some degree of traveling between Tshipi-Noto branches, subsidiaries, garages and may involve working on weekends where business needs require.
