Senior Bookkeeper Bellville Cape Town Our engineering manufacturing client in Bellville is looking for a Senior Bookkeeper with 10 years plus solid experience from Finance, Admin to HR Administration and Payroll.
All on SAGE Software.
Overseeing 5 other people in the finance department, management skills required and the ability to handle pressure and stress.
Min Requirements Matric and financial certificates or degree advantageous
10 years plus Senior Bookkeeping experience
Experience in Financial Reporting and Payroll - SAGE
Full FOREX and foreign currencies experience imports and exports
Full Debtors and Creditors management experience
Credit Controller experience
Responsibilities Full Senior Bookkeeping to Balance Sheet & General ledger Management - SAGE
Managing and overseeing finance department reporting to the Financial Manager
Cash Management – Cashbook capturing bank and credit card statements and reconciling cash books monthly
Bank Reconciliation
Maintaining Fixed Asset Register in Excel, including recording Assets and Depreciation
Performing General Ledger and Balance sheet Reconciliations
Maintaining and reconciling general ledger accounts, ensuring accurate recording of financial transactions, and resolving discrepancies
Month-end recons and reconciling to General Ledger and maintaining supporting schedules
Assisting in the development of budgets and forecasts and monitoring actual performance against budgeted targets and providing variance analysis
Accounts payable and receivable - Full function Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable
Processing Invoices for suppliers and customers Audit support - Assisting with internal and external audits
Tax compliance - Preparing and submitting VAT returns, EMP201, EMP 501 and other statutory returns Vat audits and Monthly PAYE, SDL, UIF for payroll (small payroll)
