Role Overview The Senior Benefit Counsellor is responsible for the day-to-day management of a portfolio of healthcare individual clients. The primary focus is on servicing clients' and members face-to-face regarding medical scheme queries, plan advice, billing, etc. The Senior Benefit Counsellor is also responsible for induction training and member training.
Growth of this member base is critical, and retention of individual members is a priority. The benefit counsellor will assist individual members face-to-face regarding medical scheme queries and plan advice.
Key Performance Objectives Client Responsibilities: Establish and follow processes that lead to the identification of members leaving corporate clients. Implement proactive services to retain members. Face-to-face query resolution with members. Member plan advice. Member queries relating to medical scheme benefits. Constant follow-up and feedback to relevant parties. Building relationships with HR/payroll to obtain lists of all members leaving corporate clients. Facilitate the relationship between the client and respective medical scheme/s. Rolling out communication to individual members. Compliance with the NMG Style guide. Keeping written records of all client communication and interaction within the stipulated time period. Assist members with gap-cover applications and claims administration. General Responsibilities: Compulsory to load applications electronically where possible. All client correspondence to be loaded and executed through Zoho. Have a good understanding of legislation and regulations that govern the healthcare environment. Attend internal meetings and training as required. Maintain member database on Zoho. Identify and pursue new business and cross-selling opportunities. Minimum Requirements Matric certificate. NQF5 wealth management or higher appropriate qualification. RE5 Regulatory Examination Certificate. Class of Business Training Certificates (in respect of the license categories for which the candidate has been registered). CPD certificates (can no longer work under supervision). 3 or more years of member engagement experience. 3 or more years of healthcare experience. Own vehicle and valid driver's license.
