Job Description Vaxowave is seeking a highly skilled Senior Azure Engineer to join our dynamic IT team within our banking division. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Azure cloud services and a strong focus on automation and Infrastructure as Code (IAC) practices. You will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our Azure infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability.
Key Responsibilities: Design, implement, and manage Azure-based solutions that align with the bank's strategic objectives and operational needs. Develop and manage automated deployment processes using Infrastructure as Code (IAC) tools such as Terraform, Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, and Bicep. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, security, and operations, to ensure seamless integration of Azure services with existing systems and workflows. Implement CI/CD pipelines using tools like Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions to automate application deployment and monitoring. Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure performance, availability, and security, employing tools such as Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics. Establish and enforce best practices for cloud governance, cost management, resource utilization, and incident response. Conduct regular security assessments and audits, implementing necessary controls and remediation measures to ensure compliance with industry regulations. Lead troubleshooting and resolution of complex cloud infrastructure issues, providing in-depth analysis and documentation of root causes and solutions. Mentor and train junior engineers and team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Stay up-to-date with the latest Azure features, industry trends, and emerging technologies, recommending improvements and innovative solutions to existing systems. Participate in architecture reviews and contribute to the development of cloud strategy and best practices within the organization.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 5+ years of experience working with Azure cloud services and DevOps practices. Strong proficiency in automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash). Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IAC) tools, preferably Terraform or Azure Resource Manager (ARM). Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). Familiarity with monitoring and logging solutions, including Azure Monitor, Azure Security Center, and third-party tools. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Relevant Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, Azure DevOps Engineer) are a plus.
