Management LevelSenior AssociateJob Description & SummaryAt PwC, our people in tax services focus on providing advice and guidance to clients on tax planning, compliance, and strategy. These individuals help businesses navigate complex tax regulations and optimise their tax positions.Those in tax compliance at PwC will focus on validating clients' compliance with tax laws and regulations. You will review and analyse financial data, prepare and file tax returns, and assist businesses in meeting their tax obligations while minimising risks of non-compliance.Focused on relationships, you are building meaningful client connections, and learning how to manage and inspire others. Navigating increasingly complex situations, you are growing your personal brand, deepening technical expertise and awareness of your strengths. You are expected to anticipate the needs of your teams and clients, and to deliver quality. Embracing increased ambiguity, you are comfortable when the path forward isn't clear, you ask questions, and you use these moments as opportunities to grow.Key ResponsibilitiesLiaising with colleagues and clients to provide tax consulting services.Managing a range of tax assignments reporting to managers and directors.Performing IT and VAT reviews/audit documentation as part of statutory audits.Performing IT and VAT related research.Interpreting IT and VAT legislation.Liaising with SARS and handling queries raised by SARS if needed.Implementing methodologies, standards, and processes on all assignments to ensure quality.Identifying opportunities and understanding business needs.Complying with risk management procedures.Billing client work.Performing general project administration.RequirementsQualification/ Education:B Com DegreeExperience:Training contract completed.Key Competencies:Motivated individual who is passionate about tax.Commercial awareness and business acumen.Strong research skills.Ability to provide solutions to business problems.Analytical skills.Good communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to prioritise and work under pressure.Organisation and time management skills.Ability to work to deadlines.Attention to detail.Ability to manage multiple assignments and multitask.Fully bilingual (Afr & Eng) or English speaking.Proactive, able to work independently and deliver precise and accurate work.Additional CommentsMust be willing to study further in tax and have a drive to continuously learn new things.Employment Equity position:Both Employment Equity and Non Employment Equity.Drivers Licence:EssentialOvertime Required:OccasionalRelocation costs allocated:NoJob Status:Full-timeTravel required:SporadicTravel Requirements:Up to 20%Available for Work Visa Sponsorship?NoJob Posting End Date:December 31, 2024
