Senior AssociateWe are seeking a seasoned Senior Associate with a proven track record of success and an established client base to join our team in South Africa. As a Senior Associate with your own clientele, you will have the opportunity to leverage your existing network and expertise while contributing to the growth and success of our firm. You will play a pivotal role in providing legal counsel, building client relationships, and driving business development initiatives.Duties & ResponsibilitiesBring in and maintain a portfolio of clients across various industries and practice areas.Provide high-quality legal advice, representation, and strategic guidance to clients on a range of legal matters.Develop and execute tailored legal strategies to address clients' needs and achieve favorable outcomes.Cultivate and nurture strong relationships with existing clients while actively seeking opportunities to expand the client base.Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to deliver comprehensive legal solutions and exceed client expectations.Stay informed about legal developments, industry trends, and market dynamics affecting clients' businesses.Participate in business development activities, including client meetings, networking events, and marketing initiatives.Mentor and supervise junior associates, paralegals, and support staff as needed.Desired Experience & QualificationLLB or equivalent degree from a recognized university.Admission as an Attorney or Advocate of the High Court of South Africa.Minimum of 6 years of experience practicing law with a focus on business development and client management.Proven track record of successfully attracting and retaining clients in a competitive legal market.Strong expertise and knowledge in one or more practice areas relevant to the firm's focus.Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.Strategic thinker with the ability to identify opportunities, anticipate challenges, and deliver innovative solutions.Demonstrated leadership capabilities and a collaborative approach to teamwork.Commitment to delivering exceptional client service and maintaining the highest ethical standards.
