KEY JOB FUNCTIONS : A vacancy reporting to the Technical Warranty Manager exists in the Technical Services department which forms part of the Technical Departments.
This position is responsible for technical evaluation of warranty claims data in line with the Warranty Policies and Procedures from TMC, HINO, TSAM, QAD and LOCAL SUPPLIER agreements inside the company objectives of time, quantity, quality, costs and targets.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS: Warranty claims adjudication and processing within time, quality, cost and quantity criteria Warranty claims re-processing within policy and procedure criteria to recover costs Assure warranty claims data accuracy by assessment of warranty codes and the technical validity of the claims Scrutinize major component repair quotes Warranty administration, applying TMC, TSAM and HINO policies and procedures Management and daily production reporting Early detection warning to Technical of safety critical type failures Warranty Help desk, advice and assistance to all customers QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Minimum 2 Years dealership warranty administration experience NQF 5 (240 credits – level 8 framework) relevant qualification or + N5 or S4 Automotive Trade Test Diploma (Technical Diploma) – Qualified Technician Working experience as a qualified automotive technician Service Advisor or Foreman experience Administration experience Toyota/Dealer/Supplier interaction Computer Literacy including literacy in MS Office and Outlook COMPETENCIES: Accurate Information gathering and analysis Awareness and commitment to our mission Awareness of situations and decisiveness Communication and sharing of mid to long term plans Creation of innovation vision Establishing framework and systems for organizational review Feedback of evaluation and long term development of others Strategic review of work methods Negotiation and good communication Relationship building Motivating & Integrating IMPORTANT DIMENSIONS: Strategic & Analytical thinking Good communication (both written and verbal) Initiative Relationship management Time management Budget management Attention to detail THIS APPOINTMENT WILL MADE IN LINE WITH THE COMPANY'S EMPLOYMENT EQUITY POLICY
