IntroductionWe are seeking a skilled Senior Application Support to carry out support functions within our Managed Services team.
ResponsibilitiesManage in-house software including troubleshooting and escalation.Detailed troubleshooting and escalation to DEV.Understanding SQL and application of DB concepts and best practices.Proficiency with TSQL.Assisting with user training, guidance, and support to resolve issues.Supporting the roll-out of new applications.Advanced support.Maintaining Ticket SLA.Testing and providing feedback on new system enhancements.Occasional travel to customer sites may be required.Maintaining Master Data.Working standby after hours and weekends.Flexible to work night shift.Updating Support Manager.Supporting the team in SQL writing.Supporting the team in complex troubleshooting.Minimum RequirementsMatric or NQF equivalent.Degree/Diploma/Certification in Information Technology or related studies preferable.3–5 years working experience in IT helpdesk environment a must.5-10 years SQL knowledge.MS Suites a must.Software Testing and UAT with proven track record.Exposure to Fresh Service, Freshdesk, GITLAB, ASANA would be an advantage.Exposure to a logistics/retail working environment would be an advantage.Knowledge of remote software (RDP, TeamViewer, VPN).Ability to follow predefined procedures and escalate timeously to the Security Manager where required.Ability to meet deadlines and complete daily tasks within SLA timeframes.Ability to use knowledge base resources to resolve problems.Strong troubleshooting skills.Driver's license and own vehicle.Strong people skills and team player.Must show respect and care to others at all times.Must display integrity and loyalty at all times.
