Minimum Requirements for the Role:
Must have a B.Sc. degree or higher in Biochemistry or Chemistry.
Minimum 3-5 years proven experience in the formulation of decorative and industrial coatings.
Excellent project management skills with the ability to effectively prioritize, is essential.
Ability to work independently in a team environment and handle multiple projects.
Must have good communication skills and the ability to interact in cross-functional environments such as the Technical, Regulatory, Safety, Quality and Marketing departments.
Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SalesForce.
Must have a valid driver's license and be willing to travel when required.
The Successful Candidate Will Be Responsible For:
Formulating decorative and industrial coatings, as well as products for the construction industry.
Conducting all relevant testing protocols within the scope of testing parameters in the coatings laboratory.
Providing weekly project updates on SalesForce and submitting technical reports for each project.
Preparing sales tool kits for the external sales team.
Focusing on customer and supplier laboratory projects.
Evaluating new raw materials from suppliers for future projects.
Interacting with the Technical Group, aligning with group protocols, testing, and reporting.
Seeking out and reading industry literature related to new technologies.
Managing projects, adhering to all deadlines and Blue-Sky developments.
Preparing and presenting new product developments to staff and customers.
Managing lab assets, including calibration and service timing for respective equipment.
Controlling raw material inventory within the lab.
Travelling throughout the region of responsibility to support sales staff and customers.
Performing any other tasks as delegated by the manager.
