Senior Actuary Analyst

Join our clients team in Johannesburg and report directly to the Senior Manager: Valuations. Immerse yourself in risk evaluation, spearhead actuarial analyses, and drive the creation of groundbreaking products. Play a pivotal role in forecasting and monitoring insurance performance, shaping the future of our offerings. Key Duties and Accountabilities:Evaluate liabilities under IFRS17 and SAM and analyse and allocate profits.Support the development, enhancement, and documentation of systems and processes for profit and liability calculations.Drive changes and improvements in valuation and analysis methodologies as needed.Assist with completing valuator, statutory, and ASISA returns.Prepare management reports and conduct special investigations as required.Provide consistent and effective service to internal and external clients, ensuring high-quality interactions with all stakeholders.Contribute to projects, initiatives, ad hoc queries, and team efforts.Conduct experience investigations for expenses, lapses, morbidity, and mortality to refine and improve assumption bases.Experience:At least 3 years in Life Insurance actuarial roles, focusing on valuations and reporting (SAM, IFRS4, and EV); IFRS 17 preferred.Strong technical execution skills with a proven track record.Experience with Prophet and DCS preferred.SQL or programming skills and comfort with large data sets preferred.Education:BSc in Actuarial Science (Honours is advantageous)Making good progress with actuarial exams - AMASSA exam level preferable Take the Next Step in Your CareerApply Now!
