Job Description The successful candidate will form part of a high-performing team responsible for enhancing Old Mutual Financial Wellness solutions, which include the Smart Goals and Rewards capabilities. The role provides the opportunity to develop an understanding of Old Mutual's products across the different segments, to use data to derive customer insights and nudge behaviours, and to gain a deep understanding of the financial wellness landscape in South Africa and how it relates to loyalty/rewards programmes. The incumbent will play a leading role in the management and development of our financial wellness offerings in both Smart Goals and the Rewards program. The position offers regular opportunities to engage with and present reported results to various stakeholders and management.
Key Result Areas Develop the methodology of the financial wellness measurementsEnsure the model is relevant/robust with right technical knowledge to ensure credibility of the measureEnsure that the methodology is practical and that has resonance with customers and advisorsMaintain and ensure the methodology is inclusive of changing external trendsIterative Improvement of financial wellness measuresImplement new features and enhancements as neededProvide ongoing maintenance and support of the score on the Financial Wellness platformEnsure the methodology remains up to date with any regulatory changes or new data sourcesOwn and execute operations related to the monthly Rewards points runReviewing and evaluating operational business processes, activities and data for the purpose of making tactical and strategic business decisionsPerform regular financial projections to support new initiatives and evaluate existing onesPerform financial projections to support business planning and rule review cyclesSupport contract negotiations with various Rewards partnersSupport and delivery of strategic projects as these ariseOwn and support competitor research on loyalty/rewards programmesOwn and support regular reporting on the performance of the Rewards programmeRequirements: Skills, Qualifications & Experience Required Substantial Actuarial experience and senior actuarial student making good progress or nearly qualified ActuaryStrong technical skills and attention to detailStrong detail orientation coupled with the ability to see the "big picture"Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)Motivated self-starter who shows initiative, is proactive, looks for ways to improveAble to complete tasks within agreed timelines and drive projects to completion with minimal guidanceAbility to plan and prioritizeWilling to learn and growHigh level of accountabilityCompetencies: StrategyInnovationLeading with InfluenceCollaborationCustomer FirstExecutionPersonal MasteryPlease note that the appointments may be made at a lower role size depending on the successful candidates' experience.
