Involvement with all day-to-day functions within a busy Finance Department, presents a challenging, hands on role for a solid accountant who is keen to add value and achieve results. This is an exciting and challenging role which will entail reporting directly into Finance Director based in Johannesburg.The Management Accountant will work closely with the Finance, HR & Operations teams to provide information for decision making, also to ensure solid fundamentals, internal controls and maintain up to date financials. This is a hands on role where the successful candidate must be an effective communicator, technically strong, with solid grasp of accounting principles, fundamentals and have the analytical skills to interpret complex data.Over the last few years the compan's performance and profits have significantly increased as a result of effective business planning and diversification of service offering to create additional revenue streams. Under the guidance of an extremely successful Board, the company has continued to perform well to this day.(Please note this is a 6-month contract)Core DeliverablesAnnual preparation of budgets and Forecasts, Forecasting of cash flow monthly,Preparing and managing cashflow forecasts with regards to creditors paymentsAnalysing financial performance and identifying areas for improvementRecommending methods and strategies for cutting costs and increasing profitsAdvising on the financial implications of business decisionsMaintaining records and supporting auditing effortsApplies costing methods to model and evaluate performance in his/her domain of activity (sales, marketing, OPEX).Oversee maintenance and vendor insurance and set-up financial planning and results management.Assure compliance with financial auditing standards.Ensure the team adheres to the end-to-end accounts payable processes.Review existing procurement processes, drive increased efficiencies, and propose procedures and improvements of reporting for decision-making.Implementing and maintaining internal controls with regards to the creditors function, capturing, and reconciliations.Load Supplier payments for authorization on online banking platformEnsure the integrity of the Accounts Payable ledger.Receive supplier statements and reconcile them to the supplier ledger.
