Senior Accountant - Reporting (7 Month Contract)

Purpose of JobProvide a continuous input into financial and business decision-making at tactical/operational level, the completion of financial accounting reports and the day-to-day execution of financial related activities, as well as ensuring the integrity of the General Ledger and Trial balance to ensure accurate and timely reporting on a monthly basis.Key AccountabilitiesTimeous preparation of finance lease payment runPreparation of calculations for CPI rentalsPreparation of monthly journalsPreparation of calculations for volume related rentalsPrepare Profit and Loss report on a monthly basisPrepare presentation of results for monthly exco meeting with explanationsPrepare quarterly road levies calculations and ensure timeous submission to the relevant road agenciesRoad Levy Audit – Ensure audited during August every yearImpairment calculations on group modelOneStream implementation for Energy IFRS16 leasesReview of quarterly contracts register prepared by businessAssist with the monthly exco presentationEnsure the integrity of the GL accounts and the structure of the ledgerPrepare monthly reconciliations/schedules for GL accounts under their controlPrepare Monthly Income statementsGood understanding of SAP to ensure alignment with management reporting objectives and requirementsTimeous and accurate completion of monthly reporting on Onestream/HFM, including intercompany processTechnical issues timeously identified and actionedFormal Education4-Year University Bachelor's Degree in Finance or equivalentMin Experience5+ relevant yearsCertification & Professional MembershipCA or CIMA is a preference
