Mr Price Group Limited requires Senior Accountant who is a dynamic, analytical team member who has a passion for numbers and is an absolute stickler for detail.ResponsibilitiesPreparation and review of monthly management accounting packsPreparation and review of annual budgetsPreparation and review of 5 year projectionsPreparation and review of half year and year end audit packsPreparation of annual financial statementsLiaise with internal and external audit on audit requirementsAccounting for share trustsReview of monthly account reconciliations (balance sheet & income statement)Analysis of financial data and the comparison of budget to actual results including reforecastingInvoicing and recovery of tenant installation allowancesReview and release of paymentsReview of monthly VATReview of Journal entriesSupervision of financial accountantsMaintenance and implementation of internal financial controls in accordance with Group Finance requirementsValue added process improvementsCompilation of reports and ad hoc requestsQualificationsNewly qualified CA (SA) with some post article work experience preferredIFRS16 and general IFRS experience requiredJSE listed or Large Corporate Finance experience would be an advantageExperience in the preparation of annual financial statementsAbility to work under pressure and within tight deadlinesProven ability to plan, organise and work methodicallyExcellent eye for detailMaturity and confidence to communicate at the highest levelMust be highly computer literate and able to learn quicklyStrong analytical capabilitiesTeam player
