The Meridian Group that operates in the premium wine and spirits industry seeks a skilled Senior Accountant to join their team in Cape Town, Brackenfell area.Responsibilities IncludeSupporting the month-end close process by preparing journal entries related to inventory and cost of goods sold.Performing reconciliation of stock supplier accounts.Initiating and facilitating the preparation of payments to stock suppliers.Conducting thorough investigations into reconciling items to ensure clarity and accuracy.Proficient in coordinating stock counts and adeptly resolving any resulting discrepancies.Experience in accounting for import and export of stock.Qualifications And ExperienceA Degree in Accounting is Essential.3+ years' Experience in a Similar Role.Extensive Experience in Accounting for Stock in a Complex ERP System Environment (BC Navision, SAP, Cispro, Oracle etc.).Excellent Reconciliation Skills and attention to detail.Salary – between R25 000 and R35 000 based on experience and qualifications.Please do not apply if you do not meet the requirements.Should you not receive a response to your application within two weeks please consider your application unsuccessful.
