Senior Accountant

An innovative consulting and accountancy firm is looking for a passionate accountant who enjoys using technology and revolutionizing traditional accounting methods, to join their team in Somerset West as a Senior Accountant. They are looking for a forward-thinker with a strong passion for systems integration, automation and enhancement of accounting processes.
Key Responsibilities:Maintain accurate financial records, including recording all transactions, managing accounts payable and receivable, and reconciling bank statements.Produce monthly management reports, such as balance sheets and income statements, providing in-depth analysis to clients for informed decision-making.Assist with budgeting and forecasting, and actively track actual performance against budgets.Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and legislation.Prepare annual financial statements and provisional tax calculations for clients.Communicate effectively with clients, providing financial information and resolving queries.Collaborate with clients to solve specific financial issues or problems.Innovate and automate accounting processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.Act as a resource investigator, proactively identifying opportunities for process optimization and technology integration.Collaborate with the systems software developer to implement new tools and technologies to enhance accounting systems and processes.Qualifications and Experience:In-progress CIMA or a completed professional designation.Bachelor's Degree or Diploma with Accounting or Finance as a major.A minimum of 3 years of accounting experience.Exposure to accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage or Xero is highly advantageous.Salary:R25k - R30k / month CTC (slightly negotiable depending on qualification and experience)
