Senior Accountant

Requirements:Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures and principlesAwareness of business trendsExperience with creating financial statementsExperience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close processExcellent accounting software user and administration skillsPreparing accounts and tax returnsAdministering payrolls and controlling income and expenditure (knowledge of Pastel system will be an added advantage)Auditing financial informationCompiling and presenting reports, budgets, business plans, commentaries, and financial statementsAnalysing accounts and business plansProviding tax planning services with reference to current legislationFinancial forecasting and risk analysisDealing with insolvency casesNegotiating the terms of business deals and moves with clients and associated organisationsMeeting and interviewing clientsManaging colleagues, workloads, and deadlinesAccuracy and attention to detailAptitude for numbers and quantitative skillsBachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experienceIntermediate understanding of accounting and reporting standards, gaining experience in researching as it relates to accounting issues3 years' experience or more is required and it is a gate-keeperJob Type: Full-timePay: R20,000.00 - R35,000.00 per monthApplication Deadline: 2025/01/13Expected Start Date: 2025/01/20
