Processing of journals for the group. Controlling of GL Accounts including the analyses of trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations. Reports organisation's finances to management and offers suggestions about resource utilization, tax strategies, and assumptions underlying budget forecasts. Key Responsibilities Strategic & Financial Results GL Account reconciliations and SubmissionMonthly journal processingAssistance with year-end and interim tasksAnnual financial statementsSTATS SA questionnairesTimely submission with queriesFeedback from Group financial controller Operational Results Debtors and audit committee ReportingAssist with managing insurance renewal process, as well as assist with monthly accounting of insurance related itemsCorrect and timeously consolidation of applicable Customer & Relationship Results Build effective relationships with external and internal stakeholdersAssist business with accounting related queries, month end processes and journalsResolve insurance related queriesAssist with training and develop of Top traineesPerformance score cardTimely resolving of queriesFeedback from Group Financial controller Innovation & Improvement Results Drive continuous improvement in area of responsibilityImprove effectiveness of tasksProvide evidence of improvements Demonstrates proficiency in the following Behavioural competencies required: Commercial Acumen - Balance long and short-term business value generation through the regular application of integrated commercial principles across the board in order to take ownership and drive course corrective actions with rigourPersonal effectiveness & excellence – Display an iterative learning mentality.
