Our client is experiencing explosive growth and is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join their team.The Senior Accountant will work closely with a team of accountants to manage end-to-end accounting tasks for a range of SME businesses. Using industry-leading tools, the role will report directly to the Head of Accounting and will be responsible for delivering high-quality accounting services to clients.Key Responsibilities:Maintain accurate records using accounting software packages such as Xero and Sage 50.Use cloud accounting tools to process transactions, prepare and post journals, update ledgers, and perform bank reconciliations for monthly reporting.Liaise with clients to resolve queries and provide excellent customer service.Make journal entries for receipts, payments, and other financial transactions.Perform financial close procedures for month-end, including inter-company balance reconciliation.Prepare management accounts, month-end reconciliations, and provide commentary.Draft and finalize year-end accounts for Limited and LLP's under FRS 102, Section 1A, and FRS 105.Conduct client meetings to advise on potential Tax/Accounting implications.Prepare service charge accounts, extended trial balances, and cash flow statements.Run payroll for clients, including RTI submissions and pension contribution calculations.Prepare corporation tax computations and provide basic tax planning advice.Complete VAT returns, including EC Sales and Intrastat returns.Ensure accurate recording of transactions in accordance with appropriate accounting standards.Work as part of a team to provide ad-hoc accounting assistance and ensure excellent client service.Candidate Requirements:ACCA or ACA qualified.At least two years post-qualification experience within an accountancy practice.Highly organized, proactive, and self-sufficient.Ability to prioritize workload and mentor junior staff.Xero certified user and familiar with Iris.Previous experience conducting client finalization meetings.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Intermediate proficiency in MS Office, including Excel and Word.If you are a qualified accountant with a passion for delivering high-level services, please apply online.Salary offered: R35 000-R40 000 maximum, depending on experience.Type: Full-time permanent position based in office.Please consider your application unsuccessful if you are not contacted by ARVO recruiters within 4 weeks of applying.
