The role involves the accurate accounting of legal entities and detailed review of costs to ensure the accuracy, integrity and completeness of the accounting records.
The ideal candidate should have at least two years of experience, as well as a recognised accreditation (CA, CIMA, CPA).Key responsibilities:Oversight of the timely month end close process for a number of legal entities, ensuring accounting is in line with group and company policiesManagement of a number of the legal entity audits and ensuring timely submission of financial statements before regulatory deadlinesOversight of the production of number of the statutory financial statementsOversight of the timely production of a number of the regulatory reports ensuring ongoing compliance with relevant regulatory capital requirements at all timesOversight of payment procedures of a number of legal entities ensuring appropriate cash management at all timesManagement of the annual budget processLiaise closely with the Head of Finance – Americas and Local Managing DirectorsFinance reporting to legal entity boardsAccounting support for billing and FP&A teamsStay current and abreast of relevant IFRS developments that impact the firmManage ad hoc requests as necessarySkills / experience:Excellent analytical skills and attention to detailGood understanding and well-versed in accounting principles and concepts2+ years' post article experienceProficient with Excel, accounting systems and general ITConversant in IFRS and exposure to US GAAPSelf-motivated, proactive, resilient, and resourcefulAn ability to work to and meet agreed deadlinesAbility to work under pressureAbility to work on one's own initiativeExceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, both verbal and written in EnglishConfident and credible partnering with stakeholders and sponsors to high level and driving broader business engagement in changeExperience in audit would be ideal, but not necessaryInterest in financial services e.g., fund administration, bankingCreative thinker with aptitude for diagnosing problems/issues and proposing solutionsExperience with accounting/financial control mechanismsExperience with US Tax
