Senior Accountant

Manage the full accounting function, including capturing POs, raising invoices, preparing journals, and reconciliationsPrepare monthly management accounts and present findings to senior managementEnsure accurate preparation of annual financial statements and oversee annual auditsAssist with implementing accounting systems and policies, driving procedural improvementsAdminister investment-related transactions, including additions, disposals, and related administrationOversee and review the work of a junior accountant, providing training and feedback as neededMonitor and manage day-to-day treasury and cash flow across multi-currency bank accountsAdminister payments, maintain relationships with stakeholders, and oversee creditors and debtorsPrepare budgets, forecasts, and cashflows, monitoring actual performance against projectionsManage and oversee various group assets, ensuring key risks are identified and addressedAdminister tax calculations and VAT submissions, liaising with external advisors where neededEnsure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, including KYC, AML, and FATCACoordinate internal and external reporting, including board meeting packs and covenant testsCollaborate with internal and external stakeholders, both locally and internationallySkills & Experience: Minimum of 2 years of post-articles experienceStrong commercial accounting experience is advantageousExcellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with local and international stakeholdersDetail-oriented and deadline-driven with strong problem-solving skillsProficiency in managing multi-currency transactions and financial reportingQualification:SAIPA or SAICA articles completeRelevant tertiary educationMust have reliable transport to commute to the officeContact OLIVIA MELTZER on
