Join our dynamic finance team at Red Bull, where you will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of our accounting system and in ensuring the accurate and timely completion of financial and management reporting. We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to support our finance operations and contribute to our success.RESPONSIBILITIESAreas that play to your strengthsAll the responsibilities we'll trust you with:Financial AccountingWork with the Chief Accountant to ensure accounts are maintained in accordance with statutory and tax regulations and internal Red Bull policies. Assist in general accounting and accounts payable processes, as well as acting as a back up for the Accounts Payable/Receivable team. Perform reconciliations of balance sheet accounts and maintain the fixed asset register.Management Accounting and ControllingAssist in the monthly closing process and reporting cycle. Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and assist in annual business planning and periodic forecasting. Identify process inefficiencies and suggest improvements.TreasuryAssist in the preparation of monthly cash flow forecasting and reporting. Monitor cash levels within group guidelines and prepare ad hoc payments.ComplianceAssist in the annual and interim audit processes, preparation of annual statutory accounts, and completion of VAT returns. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls.PaymentsReview and load payments, manage payment deadlines, and provide daily updates on payments received from customers.OtherProvide financial reporting to support decision making, assist in finance-related projects, and support the Chief Accountant and general Finance department as needed.EXPERIENCEYour areas of knowledge and expertisethat matter most for this role:BCom Acc and/or CA.Minimum of 3 years relevant experience, preferably in an FMCG environment or audit.Sound understanding of accounting concepts and ability to explain processes to internal stakeholders.Experience working with an ERP system, ideally SAP (FI, SD, and MM modules).Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel.Strong communication skills (verbal and written).Well-organized and able to work well under pressure.Proactive with the ability to work independently and with team members to achieve common goals.Travel 0-10%WHERE YOU'LL BE BASEDCape Town, Western Cape, South AfricaSouth Africa Red Bull South AfricaJOIN THE TEAM
