Assistant Financial Manager/ Senior AccountantA Wholesale Supplier organisation located in Johannesburg is currently looking for an Assistant Financial Manager/ Senior Accountant. An Accounting Degree + SAICA Articles is mandatory for this role. This role also requires staff management. The successful individual will have about 5-7 people reporting to them. Experience working on advanced MS Excel is a requirement in terms of the VLOOKUP function as well as experience working with Pivot Tables.Duties & ResponsibilitiesStep in and take over the management of the finance departmentManaging a Finance Team of about 5 to 7 peopleManaging the general ledger as a whole and its structureApproving journalsApproving payments - monthly creditors and ad hoc weekly paymentsReviewing creditor reconciliationsEnforcing financial policies and controlsIFRS experienced (including for SME's)Calculating income taxManaging tax affairs of the companyManaging CIPC complianceCompiling annual financial statements (AFS) x 4 legal entities and one simple group consolidationMonthly financial accounts and reportingDesired Experience & QualificationMinimum of 5 years of work experience in a similar roleRelevant Accounting Degree plus SAICA Articles is a mandatory requirementBookkeeping Certificate would be highly advantageousStrong MS Excel SkillsExperience working on Syspro would be a huge advantage
