Senior Accountant – Durban

Shift Pursuit is partnering with an accounting and tax firm based in Durban and we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join their team.
The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in managing complex financial tasks, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and providing strategic financial guidance to our clients.Key Performance Areas:Oversee and manage client accounts, including preparation and review of financial statements.Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations, preparing and filing accurate tax returns.Provide financial advice and develop strategies to optimize clients' financial performance.Supervise junior accounting staff and provide mentorship and training.Stay updated with changes in tax laws and accounting standards.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Completed SAIPA articles.Professional certification – Professional Accountant (SA).4+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in a firm setting.Strong knowledge of tax regulations, financial reporting, and accounting software.Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.Should you be interested in this position and meet the requirements, email your CV to ****** note that only short-listed candidates will be contacted; thus, should you not hear from us in 2 weeks, please consider your application unsuccessful.
