Senior Account Manager Level 1

Details of the offer

To assist with management of various processes including to evaluate, prepare and present applications for funding that contribute towards the Department objectives and the various funding Programmes' development goals.
This would include performing the financial and/or technical and/or marketing due diligence functions for individual and cluster applications, structuring of the facilities and ensuring risk identification and mitigation.
To pro-actively provide value-adding and strategic advice, support and guidance to the Programmes and relevant stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS:  Minimum qualification: relevant commercial honours degreeAn additional qualification for e.g.
CA, MBA/MBL would be an advantage.KNOWLEDGE EXPERIENCE: 8-10 years related experience of which 8 years should be in deal assessment as well as closing of transactionsDeclared competent or working towards three due diligence disciplines (Marketing, Technical and Financial)Knowledge in assessing all associated issues in a transaction (Legal, risks, etc.
)Experience in peer reviewsExperience in complex financial modeling and interpretation thereofExperience in interpretation and analysis of financial statementsKnowledge of the process and assessment of the market environment and technology landscapeKnowledge of financing instruments (i.e.
grants and concessional funding structures)Understand review and assessment of feasibility of models of proposed financial structuresExperience in presenting applications for approval to investment committees Negotiation of legal agreements and implementation thereofCompetent in coaching and mentoring of team members.Financial / Shareholder Returns Ensure financial soundness of all credit submissions.Ensure financial and developmental reporting to stakeholders are timeous and accurate.Develop/input into financial models Internal / Operational Processes Manage end-to-end application and submission processEvaluate applications for finance (financial, technical and marketing disciplines)Conduct and/or manage due diligence on applications in line with the Department's Standard Procedures.Designing and negotiating the financial and legal relationship between the client and company for the specific deal.Risk identification and mitigationDeal optimization - ensuring that the deal is aligned with the strategic objectives of the Department and will contribute to meeting industry development goalsSupport the development and implementation of strategies or action plans to drive the Department's strategic objectives. Account management function up to first drawdownPrepare well written and motivated reports for presentation to the relevant approval Panel and any other Panel as may be required.Conduct peer reviews on all due diligence disciplines.Monitor deals post implementation i.r.o reporting, ME and any other information that may be required by the Department.Training, mentoring and coaching of Account ManagersProvide guidance to Business Analysts and Dealmakers in the handling of enquiries, applications and submissions and post-investment activities.Customer Focus Stakeholder Management To engage with applicants effectively and timeously during application and approval process.To effectively interact with different SBUs and departments in order to fulfil the process requirements related to any specific deal / transaction.Manage and enhance the levels of service and communication to ensure the provision of client service excellence.Learning, Leadership People Growth Provide team leadership in transactions during due diligenceManage own development to enhance own competenciesParticipate in knowledge sharing in the team and cross functionalCoaching and mentoring of team membersTECHNICAL/FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES: Financial acumen Risk identification and mitigationInvestment/Portfolio Management Stakeholder Management and customer focus Planning and organisingReport writing skills BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES: Presentation and communication skillsNegotiation skillsRelationship Building and Networking skillsPersuading and Influencing skillsCoaching and MentoringLeading and Co-ordinating
