Job Description The Segment Finance Head supports the Chief Financial Officer by managing the financial operations of a business segment and leading the finance department. This role provides direction, financial expertise, and leadership to drive the business segment's financial performance while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards.
Are you someone who can:
Analyse department budgets, manage the accounting function, ensure legal compliance, monitor cash flow, and provide financials for CFO review. Collaborate with the finance team to develop and implement strategic financial plans that align with business objectives. Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, provide strategic financial insights to support decision-making, and monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts. Support senior management in delivering key initiatives and driving business growth. Ensure accurate and timely financial record-keeping, including administrator and retirement funds. Manage reconciliations between operational and accounting systems, as well as balance sheet reconciliations. Oversee year-end, interim, and month-end processes and reporting. Lead the external audit process and provide regular feedback to the executive team. Develop and maintain policies and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency. Identify and mitigate financial risks through proactive strategies. Provide guidance on organizational budgeting and ensure expenditure remains within budget. Manage fund accounting and analysis, as well as general ledger and sub-ledger maintenance. Allocate resources and manage cash flows effectively. Collaborate with stakeholders to achieve business objectives and drive financial performance. Lead and manage a team of finance professionals to ensure the delivery of high-quality financial services. Develop and implement cost control measures to improve profitability, and collaborate with product and solutions and operations teams to monitor and control manufacturing costs. Ensure compliance with tax regulations and develop secure procedures for confidential information.
