The Security Engineer keeps Stitch's security systems up and running and ensures that new developments within Stitch are securely implemented. This might involve testing new security features and responding to security incidents.
Key ResponsibilitiesSecure our data, endpoints and networksOngoing preparation, monitoring, and response to security incidentsBuild, maintain, enhance and oversee SIEM solutions.Conduct pen-testing and threat hunting to find weaknesses in Stitch's defence systems to improve Stitch's overall securityWork alongside engineering teams to ensure architecture and design are secure, and ensure implementation is correct.Design, develop and improve internal security standards and policiesContribute to security requirements for relevant industry standards (PCI, ISO 27001, etc)Plan, conduct and manage internal security audit processesConduct diligence on third-party vendors and provide recommendations to managementConsult with and mentor Stitch staff members on security-related matters.Requirements5+ years total experience3+ years in a security-related role2+ years experience as a developerExperience working with standards such as ISO 27001, PCI, CIS Top 18, etcCISSP, CISM, SSCP or similar qualification advantageousThe ability to communicate clearly in a written and verbal manner.Clear understanding of security controls and requirements & ability to communicate why security controls are required.We recognise and value the importance of enabling remote work and maintaining a globally distributed workforce.
