Our client, a prominent US-based firm, is seeking a talented and enthusiastic SEC Audit Manager to join their vibrant offshore team in South Africa.
In this exciting role, you'll lead the auditing process for publicly traded companies, ensure compliance with SEC regulations and deliver insightful first-level reviews of audit work.
Location: Fully RemoteContract Term: 12-Month Annual Renewable ContractWorking Hours: 6-hour overlap with New York required.
Align with US working hours, generally starting from 14:00 - 20:00 (South African time), with flexibility for the remaining hours.
Role Overview:As an SEC Audit Manager, you will oversee the auditing process for publicly traded companies, ensuring adherence to SEC regulations and providing crucial first-level reviews of audit work.
Key Responsibilities:Manage multiple client engagements across various industries, ensuring projects are completed effectively and within budget.Maintain proactive and ongoing communication with clients, managing their expectations, ensuring satisfaction, and leading any necessary changes.Offer consultancy services, providing recommendations for business and process improvements, and act as a trusted advisor.Collaborate with partners and senior managers on proposals and business development calls to drive growth and secure new opportunities.Understand and manage the firm's risk exposure related to audits and proposals, effectively mitigating potential risks.Supervise, develop, train, and mentor staff on projects, and conduct performance assessments for engagements and year-end reviews.Engage in regular professional development, attend networking events, and participate in training seminars to stay current and enhance skills.Uphold the highest standards of professionalism and maintain strict confidentiality of client information.Perform additional duties as assigned, contributing to the firm's overall success and operations.Ensure accurate preparation and review of Form 10-K annual reports and Form 10-Q quarterly reports, crucial for SEC compliance and effective financial reporting.
Qualifications and Requirements:Qualified individual with at least 1 year of experience in an Audit Manager role with SEC experience.Approximately 5 years of total experience, including articles (3 years).Experience with SEC reporting, including Form 10-K and Form 10-Q.Proficiency in US GAAP and SEC regulations.Experience with SEC reporting and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance.Strong understanding of auditing software, data analytics tools, and SEC requirements.
