Our client, a highly regarded Private Hospital, is seeking to employ a dynamic and energetic Senior Professional Nurse. The aim of this position is to ensure a safe, positive patient experience by supporting the unit manager in the co-ordination of patient care and management of the unit.
Duties & ResponsibilitiesDeliver quality nursing care in collaboration with a multi-professional team.Identify, prevent and manage risks to ensure patient safety.Facilitate a positive patient experience by creating a conducive environment.Provide accurate and comprehensive records of all nursing interventions.Create a learning environment that builds staff competence.Ensure that all utilized stock and equipment are accurately charged.Job RequirementsDegree / Diploma in General Nursing.Midwifery.Post graduate certificate/ diploma in specialty area.3 years post qualification experience.Required Skills & KnowledgePharmacology.Nursing record keeping.Nursing processes and procedures.Computer literate (Microsoft Office).Relevant nursing legislation.Infection prevention and control.Scientific nursing principles and process.Audit patient records.Patient assessment skills.Develop/ modify a nursing care plan.Scope of practice for nurse practitioners.For specialised wards; ACLS; ATLS; PALS trained.Risk identification.Analysing and interpretation skills.Basic life support trained.Mentorship.Package & RemunerationMonthly
