The aim of this position is to ensure a safe, positive patient experience by supporting the unit manager in the coordination of patient care and management of the unit. Duties & ResponsibilitiesDeliver quality nursing care in collaboration with a multi-professional team.Identify, prevent, and manage risks to ensure patient safety and facilitate a positive patient experience by creating a conducive environment.Provide accurate and comprehensive records of all nursing interventions.Create a learning environment that builds staff competence.Ensure that all utilized stock and equipment are accurately charged.Job RequirementsDegree / Diploma in General Nursing.Midwifery.Postgraduate certificate/diploma in specialty area.3 years post-qualification experience.Required Skills & KnowledgePharmacology.Nursing record keeping.Nursing processes and procedures.Computer literate (Microsoft Office).Relevant nursing legislation.Infection prevention and control.Scientific nursing principles and processes.Audit patient records.Patient assessment skills.Develop/modify a nursing care plan.Scope of practice for nurse practitioners.For specialized wards; ACLS; ATLS; PALS trained.Risk identification.Analyzing and interpretation skills.Basic life support trained.Mentorship.Package & RemunerationMonthly
