This position involves performing assembly tasks from basic fitment to complex assembly procedures, utilising advanced tools, measurement equipment, and assembly machinery to ensure optimal product quality and customer satisfaction.Minimum Requirements :Education: National Senior Certificate / Matric (Grade 12)Technical Knowledge: Technical skills in assembly processes, interpreting technical documents, and using specialised tools and machineryOrganisational Skills: Ability to maintain a clean, safe, and systematic work environmentRegulatory Knowledge: Understanding of company policies, workshop protocols, and the Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) ActKey Responsibilities :Assemble electric motors, brake motors, and worm drive geared motors from both built-up and off-the-shelf componentsConfigure MVF products based on input, output, and mounting specificationsAssemble mechanical variable speed geared motors and double reduction geared motorsComplete assembly of A, C, F, and S units up to size 60Basic Life Skills :Working knowledge of computer operationsSystematic work habits with a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness and safetyKnowledge of statutory and company rules and quality standardsAwareness of quality management and its impact on assembly processesTechnical Skills :Read and interpret workshop orders, assembly instructions, and component descriptionsKnowledge of assembly tools and ability to use measurement equipment such as verniersFamiliarity with catalogue product configurations and ratio charts for accurate assemblyBasic understanding of electric motor specifications, part numbers, and assembly according to product designationProduct Knowledge :Thorough understanding of the products within the scope of work, including assembly processes for geared motors and electric motorsAbility to read maintenance manuals for oil fill quantities and breather positioningFamiliarity with ratio charts and catalogues for precise assembly
